Costa Rica is divided into seven provinces, these are: San José, Alajuela, Heredia, Cartago, Puntarenas, Guanacaste, and Limon. The Spanish Village at Blue River Resort is located in the province Guanacaste.

The province is located in the northwest corner of the country and is renowned for its ecotourism, with the Rincon de la Vieja National Park as it’s gem.
